Peanut Butter Frosting
This recipe makes enough to frost 24 cupcakes, or a 9x13-inch cake, or a 2-layer (9-inch) cake with a thin layer of frosting between the layers and on top.
Ingredients
- 2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 4 cups confectioners' sugar
- 6 tablespoons milk, or as needed
Directions
- Beat peanut butter and butter in a medium bowl until creamy and combined.
- Gradually blend in sugar; when the mixture thickens, begin incorporating milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, until frosting is thick and spreadable.
- Beat on high speed until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Scrape down the sides of the bowl with a spatula.
